Engineer - 46m

Are you a dedicated and hands-on engineer who takes pride in their work? Do you appreciate the importance of precision in every task, especially when it comes to yachts? Are you eager to be part of a program that explores popular yachting destinations while also venturing off the beaten path? If this description resonates with you, we have an opportunity that might pique your interest.
We are currently seeking a Sole Engineer to join our 45-meter private motor yacht. This luxurious vessel is exclusively for the private use or the owner and his family. It is owned by a warm and down-to-earth family who not only values politeness but is known for their exceptional kindness.
While this private yacht doesn't require an official license for the Engineer role, they enthusiastically welcome candidates with strong engineering credentials who enjoy getting their hands dirty. Though the yacht is relatively new, as with any sea-faring vessel, planned maintenance and unexpected breakdowns are par for the course. The engine room is generously equipped with spare parts, training resources, and a dedicated budget. However, due to the yacht's frequent travels, there is limited capacity to bring in outside contractors. The engine room is meticulously maintained, reflecting the overall standard of the entire yacht.
The yacht's itinerary is both comfortable and extensive. We are sailing off for an adventure to the South Pacific. This itinerary underscores the need for an Engineer who can tackle a wide range of challenges.
The owner and Captain prioritize the well-being and development of the crew. They allocate a budget for continuous training, including obtaining necessary licenses, with a strong focus on improvement. When the owners are on board, the entire crew is expected to be fully engaged in providing top-notch service, from water toy activities to entertainment, as the yacht becomes their vacation haven.
The Captain maintains a structured and disciplined environment, with clear expectations communicated from the outset. Everyone on the team, from the Junior Stew to the Captain, is held to the same high standards. The program is demanding and fast-paced, leaving little time for personal cell phone use.
Accommodation on the yacht is shared, and the owners are open to considering adjustments to accommodate both male and female crew members.
Requirements for consideration:
• STCW Basic Training
• ENG1 Medical Certificate
• B1/B2 and/or Schengen visa (depending on nationality)
• Proof of Covid vaccination
• While a license is not mandatory, candidates making progress toward obtaining one will receive extra consideration
• A minimum of 12 months of solid yacht engineering experience
• Non-smokers only
• Small, discreet, or hidden tattoos are acceptable
Conditions:
• Please note that the aft cabin is relatively compact…and that means small.
• The yacht offers an education budget covering both costs and time, prorated based on the duration of your service.
• This position does not involve rotation, and crew members are entitled to 38 vacation days in the first year.
• Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with your experience and skills.
If you are a dedicated engineer ready to embark on a rewarding journey with a reputable private yacht, we invite you to explore this exciting opportunity further.
