Are you a solid Deckhand or Bosun who is looking for that opportunity to move to Mate? Do you love being on Deck but are itching to move your career forward? We are exactly seeking you for our Mate position.  

We are a 46-meter world-traveling private motor yacht in search of a great Deck candidate with a solid background, who is eager to progress in their career. 

You will expect to join as Mate – so you already have a solid yachting background and some kind of commitment to a license. Your duties will be mostly outside with the rest of the Deck team (including the Captain). This is not a “list making” position. As you show your mastery at each level, you will be given more and more responsibility up to and including drive!

Our owners are exceptional – nice, considerate, and easily pleased! They've been long-term yacht enthusiasts, visiting various destinations for about a week each month, relishing the local culture, cuisine, and the essence of each unique place. They don’t repeat ports of call, so every adventure is a new one. Our crew is fueled by a passion for new experiences, global exploration, and, of course, delivering the highest standard of yachting to our guests.

Our Captain is on a mission to turn every port of call into an adventure. This includes everything from engaging local historians and guides to exploring historical sites and even venturing into the more unconventional, yet safe, aspects of old towns. The owners are consistently awed by these experiences. The Captain is seeking a candidate who shares this enthusiasm, possesses a meticulous attention to detail, and is eager to master every facet of running the Deck.

Candidates will commence their journey in the first week or two of October in Fort Lauderdale, setting sail almost immediately for a crossing through the Panama Canal. So, ensure your bags are packed, and you're ready for this exciting opportunity.

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• Solid yachting experience (freelance time will not be counted).

• A history of honoring commitments.

• Valid STCW Basic Training and ENG1 certifications.

• Some kind of license.

• A passport that's valid for at least 18 months.

• An adventurous spirit.

• Male and Female candidates will be considered.

• A commitment to a completely non-smoking lifestyle.

• Small, discreet, non-offensive tattoos are not an issue.
