Stew/Deck - 34m

We are in search of a highly capable Stew/Deckhand to join our newly commissioned 35-meter private motor yacht. This state-of-the-art luxury vessel is designed to leave a lasting impression with its sleek, meticulously crafted lines and our proficient, dedicated crew.
Although the yacht is fresh from the shipyard, the owners are seasoned yacht enthusiasts who cherish the serenity of luxury yachting. They have two primary types of voyages in mind: Firstly, an elderly couple with a penchant for tranquility and routine, occasionally hosting another couple for short sojourns. Their journeys are characterized by leisurely cruises through the Caribbean, Florida, Bahamas, or New England, depending on the season. Secondly, a younger family, including a 10-year-old child, revels in exploring the Bahamian waters.
It's essential to note that our yacht is not a party hub. Our crew members are mature, content, and in excellent health, many of whom have been part of our team for at least 1.5 years, with some serving significantly longer.
We are currently seeking a Stew/Deckhand who is equally proficient in interior and outdoor duties. You will collaborate closely with the Chief Stewardess to maintain the interior in impeccable condition, participate in guest service, and possess the independence to carry out your tasks without constant oversight, as our Chief values autonomy. If you are also proficient in deckhand responsibilities, particularly if you hold a tender license, this position is tailored for you. This spot will be exceptionally interesting to a Stewardess looking to transition to outdoor duties.
Please note that accommodation on board is shared, and therefore, we can only consider female applicants. While we spend a significant amount of time at our home base in Fort Lauderdale, our itinerary includes voyages up and down the US East Coast, with frequent trips to the Bahamas and Caribbean.
Qualifications for consideration:
1. Minimum of one year of yachting experience.
2. STCW Basic Training.
3. ENG1 medical certification (or equivalent fit-for-duty medical assessment).
4. B1 visa (if you are not a US Passport holder) - we may offer sponsorship for the right candidate.
5. Possession of a tender license is advantageous.
6. Positive and cheerful disposition.
7. No drama or excessive social media usage.
8. Discreet and non-offensive tattoos are acceptable (excluding face/neck tattoos).
9. No smoking allowed, but odor-free vaping is permitted.
10. We are not considering teams for this position, but we are team friendly.
11. Competitive wages, a bonus program, and educational benefits are provided.
12. Medical benefits are included.
13. Generous vacation allowance of 42 days per year, with additional weekends off that are not part of your vacation.
14. Start date is anticipated around October 23, just before the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.
If you meet these requirements and are enthusiastic about this opportunity, we encourage you to apply.
